The Understanding Domestic Retrofit Course is designed to give you a comprehensive grounding in the world of making homes more energy efficient. You’ll learn about reducing carbon emissions, making homes healthier and cheaper to live in, and the overall process of upgrading a house. You will learn the fundamentals of domestic retrofit and its significance, explore the basic principles that underpin successful retrofit projects; you will discover the wide range of retrofit materials available and delve into the world of renewable technologies for sustainable homes.

Entry Requirements
- There are no formal entry requirements but you will complete an initial assessment in English and Maths with LIBS Training.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Understanding Domestic Retrofit
Progression
- After completing the Understanding Domestic Retrofit course, learners can progress to various courses such as:
- Level 4 qualifications in Building and Construction,
- specialised courses in Sustainable Building Design,
- certifications in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Technologies
- or into higher education like degrees in Environmental Science, Sustainable Architecture, or Civil Engineering; Advanced Diplomas in Energy Management or Green Building Technologies.
