Adult Care
Course overview
This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in care settings. It contains both mandatory and optional units allowing learners to tailor the qualification to meet their needs, interests, preferred progression paths and the context of their job role.Health & Social Care qualifications qualify learners to work with vulnerable people including children and young people. These programmes are designed with the needs of the employers and the service users in mind and are aimed to equip the learners with the skills needed to excel in the sector.

Requirements, qualifications and progression
Entry Requirements
- Learners must complete an initial assessment in English, Maths and IT with LIBS Training where they must score at working towards Level 1/2 in English and Maths and Level 1 in ICT (for level 3). Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as they will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
- Level 3 Certificate in the Principle of End of Life
- Level 3 Certificate in the Principle of Dementia
- Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health
Progression
- By achieving this qualification learners can progress into Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England).
